Depression and Exercise

The idea that exercise has the ability to improve symptoms of depression is actually not new. Hippocrates is said to be the first Western physician to ever prescribe this treatment 2,500 years ago, and doctors have been suggesting exercise to patients ever since. If you are diagnosed with major depression, exercise may not be the only treatment that you require, but it can totally help in your treatment plan.
