Reasons Behind Holiday Blues
There is a wide array of reasons why people experience Holiday blues. Here
are the main reasons:
·
Reminders of loved ones lost: Holidays make us reflect. For the
most part, our thoughts turn to beloved family members and friends who have
passed away.
·
Loneliness: Holidays could make us feel lonely without a
significant other. Furthermore, separation from family members can be especially
painful now.
·
Financial hardship: Giving to others is one of the Holiday joys.
If your financial resources are very limited, you are likely to feel
insufficient.
· In search of
sunlight: A lot of individuals are adversely affected by the relative loss
of sunlight they experience at winter. This phenomenon is called: seasonal affective disorder or SAD.

Sarcasm Makes You Smarter
Regular exposure to sarcasm can increase creativity and
problem solving skills. While a straightforward statement calls only for basic
comprehension, sarcastic ones need multiple levels of comprehension. The
listener should take into consideration the experiences, points of view, and
biases of the speaker and incorporate the information into analyzing what is
said.
Studies have shown that the phrase “yeah, right” was used
sarcastically 23% of the time it was blurted out. More to these, it has been
found that the using sarcasm increased when the conversation is taking place online.

Debunking A Borderline Personality Disorder Myth
Borderline Personality Disorder
Myth: People suffering from BPD tend to become stalkers.
People suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder usually don’t have
interpersonal skills. They have this tendency of losing relationships, usually
due to their extreme behaviors. Different studies have shown that 4 to 15
percent of stalkers suffer from BPD. It is important to keep in mind that some of
these stalkers may meet criteria for Borderline Personality Disorder but stalking is not a
characteristic of BPD. Only a few people suffering from BPD become stalkers.
